If there’s one thing I hate to do it’s attempt to forecast traffic and conversion numbers for a brand new site that is just now starting an SEO campaign from ground zero. I actually hate doing it, period, even with established sites. Unfortunately, this is exactly what new SEO clients want to hear. They want to know if they are spending X amount of money, then how much traffic will they get and [...]

I’ve been looking for a software program that can help me automate some tedious SEO tasks. I don’t have a problem writing content – blog posts, articles, etc. – but I don’t really have the time or the patience to go setting up hundreds of accounts at Web 2.0 sites, article directories, forums, etc., etc. This shit really drives me nuts. I came across a really handy set of regular expressions over at Dynamical.biz that you can dump into Google Analtyics to sort your keyword data by number of keywords. In other words, show me all single word keywords, or two word keywords, three word keywords, etc. This is a great way to have a look at how your long tail keywords are performing. Here they are:
^\s*[^\s]+\s*$ one keyword
^\s*[^\s]+(\s+[^\s]+){1}\s*$ [...]

Google loves to tout the holiness of relevancy and yet they continually work toward making their search results less relevant. Take, for instance, their latest move to integrate Google+ and other social chatter directly into search results. Now, if you are logged into Google, you will see tons of social mentions, recommendations, shares, and other such nonsense when you are doing searches.
Google’s [...]
